A Little Bit Of..

Texture goes a long way...This stuff is great, no more adding colour to gesso or white texture gel, it does what it says on the tin! On this tag I used the Gummy Berry Bear mixed with Tidy Widy.... only because I didn't clean the stencil between colours... how lazy is that but I love the colour.

Playing with Shimmerz   a la Ms Wakely. It's a work in progress, I have no idea how to go about the journalling but I do like all the spritzy colours and effects  ( I probably  won't do any journalling!)  

I sprayed this one though a used sticker sheet.

   I just love playing with those sprays!

Pretty in Pink

Well hello it's my turn to play with the delightful Sweet Pea stamps. I decided to go with a "cutie" rather than the "attitude" look that I've seen so far. These ladies have the most beautiful eyes and soulful faces. I've used my old fashioned watercolour pencils (I don't have any copics/promarkers) to add colour to the image.

With just a touch of stickles on her lace and the kitten's wings and she's gorgeous. The background was created using my favourite spritz Shimmerz Cotton Candy. I don't think my photo does it justice but believe me these sprays really add bling! Another favourite Dewdrops were added to complete a rather cute card. So as if you need any encouraging why don't you pop over to the shop and see what you can find.

A Touch Of Sparkle ...

As anyone who has read my previous posts will tell you I love glitter and sparkle and it just happens that Jean carries a whole range of products that help me maintain my glittery and sparkly reputation.  Today I want to share with you a little wall hanging project I made

First I stamped this beautiful Lost Coast image and coloured it with my markers

I then stamped another image, cut out the letter 'r', covered it with shimmerz paint and then layered it over the top of the original stamp. Set that aside to dry

Next I took a chipboard minibook that I've had in my drawer for a while in the shape of a postage stamp. The front cover had an inset panel that I removed and I used this as a templete to cut out a panel in another piece using a craft knife. I painted all the pieces with regular scrapbook paint

When it had dried I painted a combination of Shimmerz paints and Pixie Dust Blingz paint all over the front panel and when that dried I used a baby wipe to sponge another layer of Blingz.

I then stacked the three layers of chipboard together to make a sturdy frame, trimmed the stamped image to fit and because it was a slightly different shape to the inset panel I added some strips of patterned paper.  Then I added a row of the dewdrop glass embellishments all around the frame, added a couple of the Kaiser rhinestones to the bottom corner and made a hanging loop with wire and some beads I had in my craft cupboard

Let Love Soar ...

I like the colour red, such a happy colour and it just happens to be the feature colour of my bedroom and ensuite bathroom and I also just happened to have a space on a wall that needed filling with something suitably red :)

So, I riffled through the drawers in my craft room and pulled out a few bits and pieces - red paint, a paper doily, a few pots of shimmerz paint, some dewdrops (in red of course), a mini canvas and a valentined themed tissue image sheet and got to work

I started by painting the canvas with paint and then shimmerz paint, I added the doily and used more of the shimmerz paint and spray over the top and when it was dry I distressed it slightly with charcoal chalk ink. I glued a line of red dew drops all around the edges of the canvas, trimmed around one of the elements from the image sheet and added some word snips that I printed from my computer

The wings for my creation came from a digital kit I had on my computer and I sprayed them with two colours of Shimmerz spray and added some golden threads to give them more definition and a hanging loop and my project was finished

With these gorgeous Webster's Pages petite papers. I want to stroke them ,they are just so yummy and they're double sided. I'm so glad 3DJean has decided to stock these . You can buy yours here but you had better be quick I don't think they'll be on the shelf long.

Easel cards are so easy to make. I think that these papers don't need alot to embellish then but I couldn't resist going down the vintage route with paper dollies and the fab prima flowers.

I've chalked the Mother Goose nursery stamp to add suble colour.

The flowers have been painted with Shimmerz pearlz and caramel to give them a bit of bling.
The centres are Robin's nest Dew Drops.

This is the One!

This is the one that started it all!................These little canvases are so quick and easy to do and the kit will supply most of what you need. You can really make them individual by adding all those saved for best bits! This one uses the gold crackle paint and is then sprayed with green colour wash, but you can use any green dye based inkpad.The wings are gold but with a piece of sandpaper and any permanant marker or alcohol inks then you can have any colour you want. This is silver... sprayed with blue colourwash, again any blue dye ink pad will give a similar effect, just wipe on and remove any excess with a baby wipe.
