Hello again.
I'm a huge paper fan. And a huge pattern fan. So you can imagine how I feel about patterned paper! Which is why I've been happily creating with the newest range in the shop 'The Notebooks of the Herboriste' by Les Editions Infocrea:
On this layout I wanted to use lots of layers in a jmbly mesyy patchwork effect and the fact that the papers are double-sided really made things easy. As did the hexagonal designs from the 'Dyes' sheet:
If you do go and look at the full range in the shop - make sure to click on each sheet individually as you'll get to see a second photo which shows the reverse patterns too.
My favourite is the blue vintage floral design I used here:
But, along with the highly patterned and coloured designs, there's also a great versatile lined ledger sheet - which I wrote my journaling on, a pale text sheet and a lovely cream and white botanical drawing sheet too.
All of the stencilled areas on my page were made by spongeing paint through one of the Sequin Waste masks - which has 3 different sized circles on one sheet:
I finished off the page by running it through the sewing machine for lots of wonky stitching to add to the free, messy, mmulti-layered style page I was aiming for.
The 'Herboriste' papers really are something a bit different; a lovely 'grown-up' range in a fabulous set of colours and heavyweight paper stock too.
Plus they're pretty versatile ... before making this light summery scrapbook page with it ... I used another of the sheets to make a Christmas card! [But you can just enjoy their light, stylish botanical florals right now - in August ... and forget I ever mentioned Ch*****as!]
See you soon.
Great layout Julie. It's very busy but really nicely co-ordinated. I love the stitching round the edge.
