A Little Bit Of..

Texture goes a long way...This stuff is great, no more adding colour to gesso or white texture gel, it does what it says on the tin! On this tag I used the Gummy Berry Bear mixed with Tidy Widy.... only because I didn't clean the stencil between colours... how lazy is that but I love the colour.

The images are from Artchix.. you can find them here..

I used a chevron stencil on this tag with the Jelly Bean Green and the Artchix house image sheet

Houses again with Gummy Berry Bear. through a dotty stencil.

Keep it Simple.....

I know colouring in is very popular but I just don't have the patience.......... or a huge amount of Copics or Promarkers so I've kept this very simple. take a piece of white semi gloss card, cut a tag 8x16 cm and use Distress Inks to create your background... I wiped mine on with a makeup sponge. Spray with water and dry with a heat gun .Keep to the same colour palette . Stamp your image in black, add a few pearls and some stickles.......and there you have her..

One Ice Queen! Hope you like her!

Once upon a time!

Some of you may have seen some of my 'stuff' scattered through cyber space before and you will know I love things in boxes and shrine type things....... so here's an homage to the nursery rhyme Six little Mice.

Six little mice sat down to spin
Pussy passed by and she peeped in
"What are you doing my little men?"
"Weaving coats for gentlemen"
"Shall I come in and cut off your threads?"
"No no Mistress Pussycat you'd bite off our heads"
"Oh no I'll not I'll help you to spin"
"That maybe so but you don't come in!"
All the images are from 3djean and are coloured using Tim Holtz Distress pads. Using a wet brush, or water brush pick up some ink from the pad and use as watercolour. Cut out your images.. a bit fiddly! and mount them on the cotton reels using a bit of wire stuck to the back of the image and pushed into the reel.
The shaped background is cut using the edge dies from Tim Holtz.........

A plain and simple tag, though he does look a little lost!
Watch this space for more stuff.
