As Simple as ABC

It would have been easy to use these ABC stamps as an ATC.. they're the perfect size but they make a fabulous border for this box. Make it as a baby memory box or to wrap that special Christening gift. The border would look good around the Christening cake too.
Stamp the images them in grey rather than black .. this gives a softer look.

Add Golden Berry Dewdrops to the punched flowers around the edge......the flowers hide the joins!
The large flower is made with Sizzix dies and white glitter paper
Hope you like it

Pretty in Pink

Well hello it's my turn to play with the delightful Sweet Pea stamps. I decided to go with a "cutie" rather than the "attitude" look that I've seen so far. These ladies have the most beautiful eyes and soulful faces. I've used my old fashioned watercolour pencils (I don't have any copics/promarkers) to add colour to the image.
With just a touch of stickles on her lace and the kitten's wings and she's gorgeous. The background was created using my favourite spritz Shimmerz Cotton Candy. I don't think my photo does it justice but believe me these sprays really add bling! Another favourite Dewdrops were added to complete a rather cute card. So as if you need any encouraging why don't you pop over to the shop and see what you can find.

Let Love Soar ...

I like the colour red, such a happy colour and it just happens to be the feature colour of my bedroom and ensuite bathroom and I also just happened to have a space on a wall that needed filling with something suitably red :)

So, I riffled through the drawers in my craft room and pulled out a few bits and pieces - red paint, a paper doily, a few pots of shimmerz paint, some dewdrops (in red of course), a mini canvas and a valentined themed tissue image sheet and got to work

I started by painting the canvas with paint and then shimmerz paint, I added the doily and used more of the shimmerz paint and spray over the top and when it was dry I distressed it slightly with charcoal chalk ink. I glued a line of red dew drops all around the edges of the canvas, trimmed around one of the elements from the image sheet and added some word snips that I printed from my computer

The wings for my creation came from a digital kit I had on my computer and I sprayed them with two colours of Shimmerz spray and added some golden threads to give them more definition and a hanging loop and my project was finished

Jack and Jill went..........

up the hill!.. we all know this nursery rhyme but do you know where it's origins lie? Now for the education bit! The Jack and Jill refered to are Louis XVI who was beheaded (lost his crown) followed by his Queen Marie Antoinette ( who came tumbling after).
You never know when this bit of trivia might come in useful! These Jack and Jill stamps are part of the Mother Goose collection and you can see them here The door hanger is hand cut from chipboard and covered with scaps of patterned paper. The text is computor generated. The hanger and text are inked with the new Tim Holtz distress inks... Victorian Velvet and Pumice. and an old favourite Shabby Shutters. Don't have the right colour flower.......... no problem just get these and use your inks to colour co-ordinate Add a few Dew Drops for that bit of understated sparkle Hope you like it!

Pretty as A Picture!

Need something quick to make for the man in your life?.. this could just be the thing!
A racy little photo frame.........
It's made from two chipboard frames, these were cut with a Sizzix die but if you don't have a cutting machine then just cut 2 plain rectangles from chipboard, cut an aperture in one of them.Cover one side of one frame (front)with patterned paper. Cover the other frame, front and back with black card. Stick the two frames together with double sided foam as in the picture. To decorate .....glue tissue pin up onto card, cut out and glue to the front of the frame. Add clear Dew Drops around the edge! To make the frame stand cut a strip of card and glue to the back to form a hinge. The sentiment is by Catslife Press. If you would like to have a chance to have this winging it's way to you then just leave a comment! Hope you like it!
